Guidelines for Your Health - A Website for Health Care Consumers
A new evidence-based website is now available…for consumers.
Guidelines for Your Health is a website that explains the evidence-based practices that many doctors follow in easy to understand language. The goal of the site is to provide reliable, usable information to help individuals better understand what their doctors are -- or aren't doing. As they become more informed, individuals can make better health care choices for themselves and their families.
Guidelines for Health is the result of a project called The Best Evidence for Consumers, jointly sponsored by The Change Foundation and the Guideline Advisory Committee (GAC).
The GAC promotes evidence-based health care by assessing existing clinical practice and recommending guidelines that should be used by practicing physicians. The GAC also develops and recommends appropriate strategies for guideline implementation and evaluation. More
