Canadian Heart Health Strategy and Action Plan (CHHS-AP)

In 2006, the Canadian Government allocated two million over two years to support the CHHS-AP.  Much of this important initiative is now complete, but it's release is pendant on a newly elected government.  Joint letters signed by the presidents of Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS),  the Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses (CCCN) and the Canadian Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation (CACR)  were sent to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and opposition leaders Stéphane Dion, Jack Layton, and Elizabeth May urging them to keep the Canadian Heart Health Strategy on the forefront during the election and to ensure its active support by the new government.

These letters are linked below and our  web site.  CCCN members and all allied health professionals in the cardiovascular field are encouraged to contact their MP regarding this important issue.
