The Canadian Council of Cardiovascular Nurses (CCCN) is a national, not-for-profit organization composed of ten (10) provincial divisions, each with its own executive and committee structure.
CCCN is recognized as a specialty organization by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification program. CCCN maintains the Cardiovascular Nursing Standards on which the Cardiovascular Certification exam is based.
Nationally, CCCN holds annual Scientific Sessions as part of the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress, and publishes the Canadian Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing. CCCN seeks to recognize the outstanding contributions of its members through a Recognition Program, and supports cardiovascular nursing research through an annual Research Grant.
CCCN works closely with, and is affiliated to the Canadian Nurses Association, the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
